wedding day

Recently, I had the privilege of catering a lovely wedding for the sweetest family. And, I quite fell in love with the venue that they chose for both the ceremony and reception: the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church of Pasadena. You can see more pix of the space here:

Beautiful. And, did I mention that it's a caterer's dream site? Huge kitchen.... super easy loading and unloading, with easy access to the kitchen while staying out of the way of guests.... gorgeous reception hall, accented by an old-fashioned pipe organ... and the highlight for me: the onsite compost bin! I was quite in love.

After a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, the guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner in the sanctuary, transformed into a reception hall. The buffet menu included grilled chicken breast marinated in garlic, lemon, and rosemary; ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese and covered in a rich gorgonzola cream sauce; primavera pasta tossed with fresh vegetables in a tomato basil sauce; mixed green salad with carrots, tomatoes, balsamic dressing and gorgonzola cheese; and fresh sourdough bread with an olive oil and pesto dipping sauce.

I can't wait to work at this venue again!

For a beautiful outdoor ceremony, the garden area seats up to 300 guests. Indoors, the main sanctuary seats 275 guests for a ceremony, or 175 for a reception. For more information, contact Anna Cremarosa, facility coordinator (who, by the way, was on hand the entire day to help with anything needed). You can reach Anna at 626-449-3460 x 13.

Happy Planning!
